3B Chris Kelly homered and drove in four runs as part of a 4-for-5 night at the plate to lead the American Defenders of New Hampshire past Sussex by an 11-5 final. The Defenders tallied 14 hits including three homeruns. RF Angel Molina’s three-run blast in the bottom of the sixth inning broke the game

open. New Hampshire starter Nick Asselin went six innings and allowed three earned runs on seven hits to get the win and even his record at 3-3. Skyhawks 1B John Urick went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in a losing effort.

Quebec 5, Brockton 3

Quebec scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase a 3-2 deficit and down Brockton by a 5-3 final. Capitales 2B Josh Colafemina led the way offensively for Quebec as he drove in three runs with a 2-for-4 night at the plate. 3B Pat Deschenes also finished 2-for-4 with a homerun. Quebec starter Michel Simard went eight innings and allowed just three earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out four and got the win to improve his record to 4-3. Brockton’s Craig Anderson pitched well for 6 2/3 innings but took the loss to fall to 4-2.
