1B Matt Weston’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning broke a
3-3 tie and helped the Sussex Skyhawks edge the Worcester Tornadoes.
Weston led all hitters at the plate with a perfect 4-for-4 night with a run scored and a run batted in. Sussex reliever James Douglas notched his first win of the season going one inning allowing one earned run on two hits with a strikeout. Matt Petrusek pitched a perfect ninth inning to collect his first save of the year.

Rox 2B Melvin Falu was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a run batted in while DH Palmer Karr was
1-for-2 with a fourth inning two-run home run. Brockton starter Craig Anderson earned his first win of the year allowing only one earned run on five hits with four strikeouts. For the American Defenders, 3B Chris Kelly was 2-for-4 with a home run in the losing cause.

HR: NJ-Myron Leslie 2 (3), Juan Tejeda (1) 3B Myron Leslie went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored and three runs driven in leading the New Jersey Jackals to the win over the Quebec Capitales. The Jackals plated two runs in the first inning and one more in the second to run out to a 3-0 after two innings of play and would never look back from there. New Jersey starting pitcher Stuart Pomeranz gave up one earned run on four hits in six innings of work to get the victory. For Quebec, 3B Pat Deschenes went 2-for-3 and drove in both of their runs.
